Ros View overlooks Cape Cornwall and is just a few steps from the stunning Cornish coastal footpath. Cape Cornwall is famous for being the only cape in England and the views out to the Isles of Scilly and beyond are simply breathtaking. The area is famous for its mining heritage and there are many evocative mine ruins dotted about. There is lots to see is do in the area, below is just a short selection.

Cape Cornwall

As well as the stunning views Cape Cornwall boasts a small working fishing cove called Priest's Cove. The slipway provides easy access to the sea for those wishing to take a quick dip! Immediately adjacent to Ros View is Cape Cornwall Country Golf Club. The club is open to non members and aside from a challenging golf course offers a restaurant and an indoor swimming pool.

St. Just

St. Just is a short hop up the road from Ros View. Historically a mining town, you'll find that St. Just has a unique character. The town centre features many shops and local pubs as well as an ATM cash machine. The local Chamber of Commerce website has lots of information about St. Just. During July the Lafrowda Festival is an unmissable event featuring live bands, street entertainment, stalls and more!

St. Just is also home to a thriving arts community and several galleries are within easy reach of the town centre. Local artists such as Tom Henderson Smith and Nicholas Smith both run galleries where visitors can view their latest work and purchase high quality prints.

Heritage Coast

Many beautiful sheltered valleys all along the Heritage Coast lead to other coves all of which are accessible from the nearby coastal path, in particular Cot Valley and Kenidjack Valley famed for their rich birdlife, flora and fauna. The coastal path leads towards Lands End in one direction and St Ives the other.

The whole area is also home to ruins far older than those from the tin mining era. Megalithic stone structures can be found all over the Penwith Peninsula ranging from dramatic cliff top burial mounds such as Ballowall Barrow just outside of St. Just, to stone circles such as the Merry Maidens near St. Buryan

Sennen Cove

The award winning sand and surfing beaches are within easy reach offering miles of golden sand and white surf, a beach reataurant and cafe, rockclimbing, birdwatching and breathtaking coastal walks.

Land's End

Land's End is Britain's most westerly point. In the winter Land's End bears the brunt of the Atlantic Ocean but in the summer views right out to the Isles of Scilly and beyond are simply unmissable. Land's End airfield in between St. Just and Land's End provides a convenient link to the Isles of Scilly. Just 15 miles away, the isles can be seen from the apartment's lounge window on a clear day. A wonderful sub-tropical destination.

Porthcurno

The world famous Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is a stunning open air theatre built into the cliff aside with the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop. Porthcurno is also home to the Porthcurno Telegraph Museum.

St. Ives

A short scenic drive away is the ever popular artists destination with world famous artists colony and the modern Tate Gallery, also glorious beaches and good restaurants. The picturesque route is the magnificant coast road from St Just to St Ives.

Penzance and St Michael's Mount

The "capital" of the Penwith Peninsula is approxomately 8 miles away, a bustling shopping and holiday centre. Here there is the ferry service to the Scillies, an open air sea water swimming pool, the tropical Morrab Gardens and the stunning St. Michael's Mount - a fairytale castle on an island within Mounts Bay. Access to it is via a causeway from Marazion or a ferry service when the tide is in.

Visit this ancient picturesque fishing village with its quirky narrow streets, scenic harbour and small beach.
